The Interior

The farmhouse and barn are roomy and full of character, with exposed stonework. All floors are tiled. The décor is in warm, farmhouse colours. There is full oil-fired central heating and a large open fire, with logs provided in season.

The arrangement of the house is "upside down" — bedrooms downstairs, living rooms and external dining terrace upstairs. As a result, you catch the breeze during the heat of the day, and sleep in the coolest part of the house.

• Card room – for reading, games, cards, study (or even work, for those who find they cannot leave it behind!) Equipped for internet. Toys, games and books, fiction & non-fiction, including guidebooks to the area.
• The card-room doubles as bedroom six when needed. (However note that the house sleeps 12 with or without bedroom six.)
• Modern fitted kitchen with new equipment. Spacious working-surfaces and wall-units. Large fridge, separate freezer, gas cooker with wide oven, down-lighter and extractor, dishwasher, microwave.
• Satellite TV. Hi-fi with a selection of classical CDs. Internet connection (not broadband).
• Outside, a pretty dining terrace at first-floor level with wide southerly views. Perfect for outdoor living. Tables with seating for twelve. Steps down to garden.

• The barn offers two large bed-sitting rooms and a kitchenette, plus its own walled garden. It is suitable as a comfortable guest-suite, with generous proportions allowing a measure of independence.

• Capacious bed-sitting room suite 4 —- king-size double bed plus a further single bed. Sitting area with easy chairs. En-suite bathroom.
• Large bed-sitting room suite 5 — two single beds. Sitting area with easy chairs. En-suite bathroom.
