The Exterior
The architecture of all the buildings is authentic and picturesque, with champagne-coloured local building stone and mellow pan-tiled roofs. Blue and pink wisterias adorn the walls.
Restoration of the farmhouse has been skilfully carried out to enhance its authentic traditional character. The converted barn has its own magical walled courtyard and garden - a sun-trap.
Grounds
- Sunny grounds of about one acre with trees providing deep shade for hot days
- Well-stocked borders with roses, lavender, oleander, rosemary, cypress, vines and fruit trees
- Large private pool, 40 ft by 20ft with underwater lighting. Depth 3 ft at shallow end to 7 ft at the deep end. Roman steps into the shallow end. The pool enjoys direct sunlight all day long.
- The pool is surrounded by a paved terrace for sunbathing, commanding wide views over the surrounding countryside. Sun-loungers.
- Access to the pool is guarded by an alarm system. The water is cleaned by an automatic pump and filter. Its chemical balance is regularly monitored and controlled.
- Shady pool-house for meals by the pool. Barbecue with chimney.
- Gravel IN and OUT driveway.
